Beyond the spark
a fire burns
From the dark
to dark returns
And in between
the flower blooms
Rising, swaying
from the gloom
Her pale and color do not absorb
limiting her focused orb
Unlike the dark, accepting all
To be obtained
when we fall
Into the deep
that has no bound
Where all is left
and all is found
Poetry
By Brandy Lewis
With the pain
of a thousand lives
Alive, in wait
it occupies
The oldest monster
who cannot die
It sits,
it dances
around my spine
Living one
at a time
What grew in darkness
will arrive
A former monster
from within
He is you
afraid of him
Ask me to stay
and I will, for you
I’ll stick around like vultures do
But if you do not die tonight
I’ll have to go
It’s my appetite
